Four Centuries of History in Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The Château de Nalys was acquired by the Guigal family in 2017. It enjoys an exceptional position in the heart of the appellation opposite the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and its famous Papal Palace. This is one of the oldest properties of the appellation, referenced in the land register already at the end of the 16th Century. The famous 13 grape varieties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation are carefully cultivated here.
There are three plots surrounding the Château, the first of which takes the name of the estate: “Nalys” and the others sit on two of the great terroirs of the appellation: “le Bois Sénéchal” and “La Crau”.

Discovering the wines of Nalys

Strengthened by four centuries of history, the wines of the Château de Nalys are the expression of an exceptional terroir. For many years, the vineyards have been carefully looked after in accordance with the exacting methods of sustainable viticulture. Conscious of the rich history and traditions of this prestigious appellation, the culture of the thirteen grape varieties is maintained with care and rigour. This jewel of the south is managed under the keen eyes of Marcel and Philippe Guigal, who are so passionately involved in the making of the Nalys’ wines.
